New Store & Retail Outlets
The existing supermarket will be replaced with an upgraded Tesco store offering a greater range of goods. The new store will provide an improved shopping environment for customers.
A series of individual shop units are
proposed along Old Kent Road. This will
create a vibrant active street front and help
improve links to existing shops in the local
area.
New Homes
369 new homes will be provided above the store to help meet housing needs. These range in size from one bed to four bed units.
Around 60 of the new homes will be affordable accommodation and housing for key workers. Residents of the new homes will enjoy landscaped areas as well as a new children’s play area.

Tree planting along Dunton Road, Humphrey Street and Old Kent Road will improve the visual appearance of the site and further enhance the pedestrian area.
